Product Description: Soundproof City Windows
Each Cityproof City Window works in conjunction with the existing exterior window to create a Sound Buffer Zone of air space that seals out noise, drafts and dirt.
As you'll see from the illustration below, the Cityproof window is an internal window that is placed in front of the existing exterior window. The sound buffer zone created between the two windows further improves noise reduction. The air trapped inside the air space dampens the sound passing through the windows. Additionally, Cityproof state-of-the-art windows include laminated glass with a special PVB interlayer sandwiched between the glass panels that helps further reduce noise transfer through the windows.
Features & Advantages
- Cityproof windows significantly reduce many different types of noise including street noise, sirens, alarms, construction site heavy machinery, overhead aircraft, buses, sanitation trucks and delivery trucks.
- Multiple painted or anodized frame colors/finishes are available to match decor. Visit our installation showcase for examples.
- Custom design and construction allow for maximum flexibility to "mirror" your existing exterior window. View common window styles.
- Our flawless installations don't require structural changes, leaving nothing to paint, fix, or repair.
- Exterior windows will continue to open and close, and most Cityproof Windows can be removed from and reinstalled into the tracking system if full access to the exterior window is required.
