Cityproof regularly works with architects to design soundproofing and thermal window solutions. We offer:
Elevation and cross-section detail drawings available in AutoCAD DWG, Vectorworks VWX and PDF format upon request for easy incorporation into your architectural plans. Construction specifications available in Microsoft Word or PDF format for use in preparing project documentation and submittals.
Custom design services to assist in developing and recommending the type of system, including glass selection, for the particular application.
Shop drawings can be provided prior to fabrication.
Cityproof installers will expertly install the windows or provide support services to outside installers if the project requires.
Landmarks Preservation Commission approval is typically not required because the interior windows “mirror” the look of the existing exterior windows.
Cityproof can also provide information regarding STC values, as well as insulation values, of our various products. For further reading, our glass partner Saflex, has created a comprehensive overview of acoustical glass performance. See pages 19-23 in the Saflex Acoustical Guide for assembly solutions like the Cityproof system that include interior laminated glass windows featuring a PVB layer an air space and the existing exterior window.
